Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This policy explains what Snapera (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Snapera app and this website, why, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. Questions: support@snapera.app.

The short version

What we collect and why

DataWhy we use itHow long we keep it
App ID: a random identifier the app creates on first launchTo count your free photos and daily limit and to link your subscription to your phoneUntil you delete your data in the app
Selfies you uploadTo create the photo in the style you chose and to check the result looks like youDeleted 24 hours after upload (a job still running keeps it until it finishes)
Photos we create for youTo deliver them to your phone and let you share themDeleted from our servers 24 hours after creation; your copy stays on your phone
Usage data: which styles you use, searches in the app, number of photos, errorsTo run the service, fix problems and decide which styles to addUntil you delete your data in the app
Subscription status from the App Store or Google Play (plan, renewal date, whether it will renew)To give you Pro features and to remind you before renewalUntil you delete your data in the app; Apple and Google keep their own purchase records
Notification token, app language, time zone and notification settingsTo send the notifications you allowed, in your language, not at nightUntil you delete your data in the app or the token stops working
Support messages: your email address and messageTo answer youUntil you delete your data in the app or ask us to delete it

“Delete all my data” removes all of the above from our servers at once. We don’t receive your payment card details. Payments are handled by Apple or Google.

Faces in your photos

To check that the result still looks like you, we compare the face in your selfie with the face in the created photo. This produces a similarity score. If the score is too low, we try again or offer you a free redo. The comparison is automatic, used only for this check and only for your own job. We don’t identify who you are, don’t build a face database and don’t keep face measurements after the check. The selfie itself is deleted after 24 hours as described above.

Who processes data for us

We use these providers to run Snapera. They may process your data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:

We don’t sell your personal data and don’t share it for advertising. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. The fastest way to delete everything is in the app: Settings → Delete all my data. For anything else write to support@snapera.app. Because we don’t know who you are, we may ask you to send the request from the app (Settings → Contact support) so we can find your data. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents: we don’t sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and we don’t use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

Children

Snapera is not for children under 13, and in the EEA and UK not for anyone under 16 without a parent’s consent. Don’t upload photos of children. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to our systems is limited to the people who run Snapera. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep as little as we can for as short a time as we can.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For significant changes we will tell you in the app.
